Your files never leave your device

PDFFILZ is designed to work entirely in your browser. When you merge, split, compress, or edit a PDF, the file is processed locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or access the contents of your documents.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address and authentication details when you create an account.
• Usage information: tool usage counts and feature preferences to enforce plan limits and improve the service.
• Technical information: browser type, device type, IP address, and crash logs to keep the service secure and reliable.
• Support messages: emails or chat messages you send us when you ask for help.

How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the PDF tools and your account.
• To enforce free and Pro plan limits.
• To respond to support requests and fix bugs.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To send important service updates (not marketing emails unless you opt in).

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information on the basis of: (1) performing our contract with you when you use the service or have a subscription; (2) our legitimate interests in running and improving the service and keeping it secure; and (3) your consent, where required (for example, for optional analytics or marketing communications).

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we need to run PDFFILZ:

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which handles payments, billing, tax, invoices, and subscription management.
• Lovable Cloud — provides authentication, database, and backend services for accounts and usage data.
• Email provider — sends transactional emails such as receipts and welcome messages from notify.pdffilz.com.
• Professional advisers — lawyers and accountants, only when required for legal or compliance purposes.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep it longer for legal, tax, or security reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@pdffilz.com. We will respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption, access controls, and secure hosting to protect your data. Because your PDFs are processed locally on your device, they are not stored on our servers.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
