Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PDFFILZ website and PDF tools ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PDFFILZ.

Who you are contracting with

You are contracting with PDFFILZ. The Service is operated by PDFFILZ. If you are using PDFFILZ on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

What PDFFILZ provides

PDFFILZ is a browser-based PDF toolkit that lets you merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, redact, scan, and organize PDF documents. Most tools are available for free. A paid Pro plan unlocks unlimited use and larger file sizes.

Acceptable use

You may use PDFFILZ only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for fraud, spam, phishing, or malware distribution.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or process content you do not have rights to.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or attack the Service.
  • Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or billing mechanisms.
  • Upload or process unlawful, harmful, or offensive content.

Your account and files

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. PDFFILZ processes your PDFs locally in your browser; we do not upload or store your files on our servers. You grant us a limited license to process your files solely to provide the Service to you.

Intellectual property

PDFFILZ owns all rights to the Service, including its code, design, branding, and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service according to your plan. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the Service.

Payment and subscriptions

Payments for Pro plans are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax, invoices, subscription management, and refunds. By purchasing a Pro plan, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page or through Paddle's billing portal. Yearly plans are billed once per year. Lifetime plans are a one-time payment for perpetual access.

Service level

We do our best to keep PDFFILZ available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Because files are processed in your browser, results depend on your device and the PDF itself. Always keep a backup of important documents.

Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. PDFFILZ is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or data loss, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (such as fraud, death, or personal injury). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay when due, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly misuse the Service. If your account is terminated, you must stop using the Service immediately.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to PDFFILZ. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
